TOKYO COFFEE WALKS with Eric Tessier
While doing some research in preparation for Japan, one of the coffee blogs I came across was run by a fellow from my side of the Pacific, Eric Tessier. Fittingly, it’s called Tokyo Coffee, and he does Coffee Walks.
We connected by email early on and eventually had the pleasure of meeting up in person at The Roastery by Nozy Coffee. We had a great chat about how he happened to be in Tokyo, his goals with the guide, and of course his overall passion for elevating the local coffee scene.
Eric was an amazing contact in my pursuit of all things coffee in the city, and sure enough, his blog led me to a handful of super interesting spots doing great things in the scene. Here are a handful of café’s that I never got a chance to chat with in person, but were definitely worth popping by and snapping a few photos.
FUGLEN COFFEE
Norwegian-inspired and owned, Fuglen Coffee, was among first on my coffee journey. A beautiful space and wonderful staff.
BEAR POND ESPRESSO
You may have heard of Bear Pond; On the Corner is their second instalment down in Shibuya. Cafe photos prohibited, so swing by for a look in-person!
BLUE BOTTLE JAPAN
Of course, as mentioned in the Acaia post, I had to take a peep down at Blue Bottle‘s Shinjuku location.
