SHIN-OSAKA a Day Trip
I was told that Osaka hosted some of the best food and nightlife in Japan. I was also told that it was worth stopping by, but perhaps not for long. Though I’m sure I would have enjoyed any allotted time I was given in town, I was on a pretty strict time budget, and a day trip worked for me. Either way, I was there for the coffee.
It only took me about 12 minutes on the Shinkansen to make it from Kyoto to Shin-Osaka Station, and with only a day to see it all, I hit the ground running [skating].
It actually took me longer to skate from the station to where all the coffees was at, than it took to actually travel to the city, but once I was there, the cafes were all more or less in a narrow strip straddling Nishi and Chuo Wards. Quite convenient.
OSAKA LIFESTYLE
As light quickly waned and salarymen made their long trek home, the throngs of tourists resurfaced and my day’s worth of espresso shots began to wear off just as I was beginning the long trek back to the station.
Let’s rewind visit some of the shops I popped in at, one by one.
