TOKYO a Trip to the Future

Japan is absolutely on the frontier of specialty coffee culture as well as all forms of urban and interior design practice, making it an essential visit on my quest for caffeinated enlightenment and community building. If you can imagine the meticulous intention that is put into sushi, sake, architecture, and essentially anything else in the country, coffee is by far no exception.

Tokyo was the first city on my 2-week island adventure, and I took a full 5 days to really dive in and explore everything from espressos to rooftops, meeting with old friends, sake connoisseurs, café owners, Instagrammers, and even a fellow coffee blogger.
