PARTNERS [EL CAMINO] Brand Collab
MANGO BIKES
The connection came about through one of my very first collaborators of The Nomad Barista, M24 Bags. Mat from M24 has been such an inspiration and motivation to me over the better half of this year, and when I mentioned I was looking for a lead bike partner, he immediately knew who to call.
Ben and Jezz started Mango a few years ago, right around the same time Mat was stitching two pieces of tarp together for his first bag creation. They’re vision was to make high quality bikes with beautiful visual approach accessible to the average rider, and this was exactly what I was hoping to do with coffee. Ben and I didn’t lose any time jumping on a call, and it wasn’t long before a bike was being sent to my first of many temporary addresses in Barcelona.
Bombing around the streets of Barcelona and climbing a handful of mountain trails has been a great way to get acquainted with Green Giant over the last two weeks, and I’m looking forward to spending the next two with my new companion.
MINIPRESSO
I had been following the adventures of Minipresso for quite some time now, and I knew it was a perfect fit for my nomadic coffee journeys, but as things happen, didn’t get a chance to reach out until very last minute. Of course, the man behind their brand content strategy, Dan, was extremely quick to make the connection happen, and I was holding my sleek new coffee device within the week.
By next week, I’ll basically be able to launch my very own espresso bar in the plains of Northern Spain off the back of my bicycle. If you’re in the area, hit me up and swing by for a shot!
APARTTOGETHER
Attending their two-year anniversary while living in Barcelona last year was one of the best parties I had gone to during my time here. Sharing some great craft beers with great friends in a small Poble Sec bar, winning a pair of socks, getting a neck tattoo. Memorable experience for everyone.
Of course, when I hit up Vanessa again on Instagram about my trip, being a coffee lover herself she was more than down to make it happen, and within a week of arriving in Barcelona, I popped by her studio in Raval to check out what was up.
Quality socks are extremely important for any occasion – the funkiness of the design arguably more so. I’m ecstatic to finally have my first sock sponsor (those of you who know me are ecstatic as well), and I know my feet will be thanking me as I trek through the northern mountains of Galicia.
